Well the hotly anticipated Rogue One the newest installment in the Star Wars franchise is out in theaters and Madison has our review of it right now in Naked At The MoviesRogue One: A Star Wars Story may be a one-off but it tells a story that will be very familiar to fans of the iconic franchise In fact the plot is largely summed up in the scroll at the start of the first Star Wars movie But with THIS one we_re treated to all the glorious details including a whole new hero Oscar nominee Felicity Jones stars as Jyn Erso the rebel soldier responsible for capturing those Death Star plans She follows Daisy Ridley as the latest leading lady in a franchise that_s suddenly all about the Girl Power Or Girl Force if you will And it was an opportunity not lost on the talented actress While all the Star Wars movies have dealt with multiple characters and interconnected storylines this is really at its heart a war movie. And that_s why even though we_ve seen plenty of battles in this far-away galaxy this feels like the closest we_ve gotten to the troops The impressive ensemble cast includes Forest Whitaker Mads Mikkelsen and Diego Luna as Cassian Andor. But the actor whose performance people are really psyched about is Alan Tudyk... even though we never see his face He plays the droid K-2SO using performance capture technology and this character is almost guaranteed to be the breakout star-slash-hottest selling toy K-2SO is basically C3PO_s meaner funnier cousin There_s something really magical about the Star Wars franchise especially if you got introduced to it at the right age. And after the trainwreck of the prequels it_s great to see Star Wars staying on track AND providing much-needed kickass heroines to boot Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is in theaters now. Federal prosecutors in the US have put a stop to a massive psychic scam that ripped off over a MILLION Americans. The mail-based con saw the targets receive letters from supposed French psychics Maria Duval and Patrick Guerin that foretold great fortunes coming their way... that is IF they paid for certain goods and services And boy did they pay. Authorities say to the tune of 180 MILLION dollars. It_s not the sexiest of contraband but police in eastern China have uncovered a huge criminal operation making of all things FAKE JELLYFISH Jellyfish is considered a delicacy in China. Police believe 10 thousand tons of the fake seafood made its way to local markets. It was made by combining three chemicals with the end product being dangerously high in ALUMINUM. And nobody thought he could beat Hillary Clinton but the numbers say otherwise.I guess that means a lot of Americans will be moving to Canada. Unless WE decide to build a wall...Only time will tell but right now The Donald has to feel VERY good about his shot at the Oval Office. A new national poll from Fox News shows that Donald Trump has pulled ahead of Hillary Clinton. The numbers show Trump would win the general election by a 45 to 42 percent margin. Their a little surprising considering Trump is far behind Clinton when it comes to support from African American and female voters. However he makes up for the margin thanks to strong support from men particularly white men. That said it doesn_t sound like Americans are thrilled with either candidate. Two-thirds think Clinton is dishonest and more than half think Trump lacks strong moral values. US lawmakers are bringing the hammer down on Chinese steel imports. The Commerce Department has imposed import taxes of up to 522-percent on steel made in the Asian country. China which is by far the world_s largest steel producer has been accused of dumping low-quality exports on other countries. A lack of demand has caused lowered prices and job losses in places like the US. The new tariff could increase tensions between China and the US and could lead to retaliatory taxes being introduced by Beijing. And Homeland Security has a message for US airlines complaining about lengthy waits at airport security: get rid of your baggage fees Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson says that eliminating the fees will encourage travelers to check their bags which will in turn mean less carry-on luggage to screen for TSA handlers. The airlines have basically responded by saying thanks but NO thanks They_re calling for the TSA to staff more workers at the country_s most heavily-trafficked airports. American Airlines has even hired its own contractors to help security agents speed things along. The issue_s only expected to get worse during the busy summer travel season. Though no major injuries have been reported several neighborhoods have been destroyed. The bad news continues rolling in for Japanese airbag manufacturer Takata. A recall that had already affected twenty-eight million vehicles in the U.S. is set to expand by ANOTHER thirty-five million Used by automakers around the world Takata airbags are prone to bursting sending shrapnel into the cabin. At sixty-three million vehicles this will be the biggest automotive recall America has ever seen. And thanks to the ruling of a high court in China Apple will not be the only company able to use the term _iPhone_ in the Asian country. Apple brought the trademark dispute against a leather goods company who filed to use the term in China in 2007 the year the iPhone first hit the market. Apple has been pursuing this case since 2012. The court ruled that Apple had failed to make ITS iPhone sufficiently familiar to the public when the leather company registered the name. You know Apple_s got to be FURIOUS about this one Carli.Hard to believe the court could come to that conclusion. Samsung has said over 93 percent of the recalled devices within the U.S. have been returned but there are over 100 thousand that are still unaccounted for Of course it_s possible they just exploded And Ivanka Trump may be married but someone with deep pockets is going to get the chance to take her out on a date The unofficial First Lady in Waiting is auctioning off a coffee date with herself to benefit brother Eric_s charitable foundation. Mohamed had died in a car accident in 2014. The mix-up was only revealed when his wife recently called in to a local TV program about missing relatives. Her doctors now think she may have lost her memory in the crash. Considering the epic diagnosis fail they made the FIRST time around it might be a good idea to get a second opinion Most of us would do ANYTHING for our loved ones-well hopefully anything EXCEPT this Police in Minnesota recently picked up 32-year-old Erica Stang for suspicion of driving under the influence. Turns out she had a pretty good excuse - she was on her way to pick up her sister who had been arrested for drunk-driving earlier that SAME NIGHT maybe when it comes time to pay the fine the judge will give them a family discount And there_s nothing more cathartic than sending off a well-deserved complaint letter. Or sending off THOUSANDS of them for that matter According to the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority there were more than 86 hundred complaints about airport noise received last year-and 65 hundred of them came from the SAME PERSON Officials say they are willing to deal with the noise problems-just as soon as they finish responding to the 86 hundred complaints Kat whatever you think about someone complaining so much you have to admire their persistenceYeah until it_s YOU their targeting. Carli the former ESPN host has SETTLED her lawsuit against the Nashville hotel at the center of her peep-hole scandal. A jury awarded Andrews 55 MILLION back in March after she was filmed through her hotel room door PEEPHOLE by a stalker in 2008. The hotel was on the hook to pay 27 million of that. The private settlement came just hours before the parties were due in court to discuss further issues that COULD have resulted in the hotel forking out more money. More than 650 THOUSAND people have signed a petition to boycott TARGET over its transgender bathroom policy The conservative Christian group American Family Association is behind the effort. The protest is in response to Target_s new policy of allowing transgender persons to use the restroom that corresponds with their gender identity. The petition claims that the arrangement puts women and minors at risk of sexual predators and suggests the use of unisex toilets as a common-sense solution.And for the first time ever Goldman Sachs is opening its doors to the average earner The investment giant has just launched an FDIC-insured online banking service called GS Bank. Accounts can be opened for a minimum deposit of 1 dollar and will offer an annual yield of 1 point zero five percent in interest.
