You_d think so Anyway here_s the story. A British judge has sentenced Tom Hayes to 14 years behind bars for manipulating an interest rate known as Libor. Libor is the rate that banks use to borrow from one another, and it indirectly affects the cost of borrowing for houses, cars, and many other consumer items. Hayes, a former Citibank and UBS trader, was found guilty of masterminding a ring with other traders between 2006 and 2010. His attorneys argued he was little more than a scapegoat for an all-too-common practice in the industry, but the judge saw otherwise. The 35-year old is the first person in the UK to be convicted of Libor rigging.If you love porn, don_t go to India The country_s government has just issued a ban on 857 adult websites that officials say violate morality and decency. The government decision comes after India_s Supreme Court reviewed a petition last month claiming that porn caused sex crimes. The move has caused a wave of controversy in India, with many taking to social media to protest what they see as plain and simple censorship. Officials say the ban is temporary until a more permanent solution can be found. For now, the sites can still be accessed via proxy or private networks. Here we go again. Another American doctor is wanted for his role in the illegal killing of a lion in Africa. Pennsylvania Dr. Jan Casimir Seski has been named by Zimbabwe wildlife officials as a suspect in the killing of a lion last April - three months before the death of Cecil the lion became an international trending topic. Seski_s reputation has taken a big hit online. People have been posting various pictures of the him posing with all sorts of trophy animals over the years.
