Eila Morocco has flipped the switch on the first section of the world_s LARGEST concentrated solar power plant Noor 1 will provide 650 thousand people with energy from dawn until 3 hours past sunset. Moroccos ultimate plan is to shift from a 97 percent dependency on imported fossil fuels to generating 42 percent of its energy from renewable resources. The remaining two phases are expected to be up and running by 2018. A 5-man team of amateur British rowers is hoping to BREAK the record for fastest Atlantic crossing Team Essence set off from Portugal on Sunday and is aiming to make it to Venezuela within the next 52 days. Operating in two man shifts 2 hours on 2 hours off the crew plan to row the entire 33 hundred miles NON-STOP It sounds crazy but it_s all for a good cause - Team Essence hopes to raise upwards of 360 thousand dollars for children_s charities. And a Royal Caribbean cruise ship was forced to cut its journey short after getting caught up in a violent winter storm The Anthem of the Seas was on a 7-day voyage between New York and Florida when the weather turned just off the coast of North Carolina on Sunday. There were reports of 30-foot waves damaged furniture and broken glass. The captain ordered everyone to stay in their rooms until the storm passed. Eila the trip wasn_t a TOTAL loss. Passengers said that despite the bad weather they were STILL able to pick up a TV signal for Sunday night_s Super BowlEven Mother Nature can_t stop the NFL Thanks Angie and glad to hear everyone made it out safely.
