Description:
James Deen and sidekick Seth-beard stand side by side, right hands to their chests, while the former sings Americas national anthem. Seth looks up and just hums along, clearly unfamiliar with the lyrics. James notices that he isnt singing, and Seth simply shrugs. Youre Canadian James exclaims.
James greets the viewers a Happy Independence Day, before finally introducing what recipe he and his trusted sidekick will be cooking-Turduckendog. Turduckendog is a spin to a well-known American recipe, called the Turducken. Turducken involves taking chicken meat then shoving it into a duck. The chicken-duck meat combination is then placed inside a turkey, (hence, the name Turducken), before it is cooked in an oven.
But because it is the 4th of July and it is a very, very special production, James decided to add a twist to the Turducken using hotdog.
Were Americans. Were on-the-go. We have things to do. And the last thing that we wanna do as Americans, is sit there for hours and eat and entire turkey, an entire duck, and an entire chicken., explains James.
With Turduckendog, the ingredients are: Turkey hotdog, chicken sausage and duck breast.
For the preparation, James starts by slicing open the chicken sausage. Then, Seth takes the turkey hotdog and places it inside the sausage. James takes the pounded duck and makes a naughty pun, Our duckpounded out. If you really wanna watch mepound it out. He ends his pun with a sly smile. Sadly, Seth doesnt get the joke.
The pounded duck meat is wrapped around the chicken-turkey sausage, before it is dipped in egg and dredged in flour and bread crumbs.
In the midst of the preparation, James asks Seth to help him take off his shirt. Classic James.
Once the Turduckendog is fully coated with the egg, flour, and bread crumbs, it will be deep-fried to perfection.
According to James, deep-frying the Turduckendog is the best part. In America, everything is better deep-fried.
As the Turduckendog is placed inside the deep-fryer and begins cooking, James Deen suddenly regrets having already taken off his shirt. The oil kept splashing on his bare skin.
In the end, however, the hot oil didnt faze James Deen. He soon took off his pants as well. While both men waited for the Turduckendog to be cooked, James took time to get to know Seth better and began interrogating his dear sidekick. He asked Seth questions such as, When was the first time you ate fried something? When was the first time you came to America? When was your first 4th of July? How do you feel about tea? How do you feel about the British?
Seth was only able to answer the last two questions. He is not a big fan of tea or the Brits.
After a few more hot splashes of oil, the Turduckendog is finally cooked and ready to be served.
They slice open a hotdog bun and place the meaty combination inside. James offers some options for the condiments: ketchup, mustard and relish. Seth answers that he is not a fan of any of the three options given, and that he really just wants to find out how the Turduckendog tastes like.
Being the jester that he is, James Deen puts all three on the Turduckendog and takes a big bite off of it. They were able to cook the meat all the way through. It was too hot, but James was happy with how it turned out.
Seth was obviously hungry, and it was evident with the way he gazed at the food while James chomped down on it with much gusto. You know the nature of the 4th of July is to share, Seth sheepishly mutters. James happily shares the Turduckendog with Seth and lets him have two bites.
James Deen describes the taste as one that is similar to the taste of independence. It tastes like Independence. It tastes like America.
The video ends with Seth greeting James a Happy 4th of July. James Deen replies by looking into the camera to greet the audience, Happy 4th of July, America.
