Isabella 59-year-old Democratic Congressman from Philadelphia Chaka Fattah has been found guilty on 23 corruption charges including money laundering and fraud Among the crimes Fattah apparently used cash raised for an election campaign to pay off his son_s student debt. 4 of his associates were also charged. Fattah was first elected in 1994 but was in a small bit of good news for the Democrats Fattah was defeated in his primary this year and was therefore not running for re-election. With the loosening of sanctions against Iran last year it was only a matter of time before an American company closed a big deal and it looks like it_s going to be Boeing The aircraft maker announced their intentions to sell jetliners to Iran Air pending American government approval. According to various Iranian officials the contract could be for a hundred planes and be worth as much as 25 BILLION dollars If it goes through it_ll be the biggest business agreement between the two countries since the Iranian revolution in 1979. And new Federal Aviation Administration rules bring us that much closer to the age of drones delivering packages The current laws concerning COMMERCIAL use of drones require their operators to have a PILOT_S LICENCE and apply on a case-by-case basis Under the new regulations taking effect in August commercial drones can be operated by a pilot over 16 years old who_s passed a written test. Of course the rule that the drones have to stay within the pilot_s line of sight will prevent drone deliveries from being a realistic option for awhile. We_ll be right back.
