Bad news for the oil industry if he_s right, because he_s saying the age of the personal combustion-engine car will be over by 2025 He_s forecasting that using ride-hailing services will be cheaper than car ownership in just a few years, and that self-driving electric cars will rapidly start taking over the roads. This would then drastically drop the demand for oil, causing the price to plummet Remember, you heard it here first In what is PROBABLY a coincidence, it looks like Ford will be reducing their global workforce by about 10 percent The move could cost around 20 thousand people their jobs, and is part of a recently announced plan to bring costs down by three billion dollars The price of Ford_s shares has been down in 2017, as are American new car sales after seven years of steady growth. And Canadians may not really be THAT much more friendly than Americans, but they_re about to have friendlier skies A proposed Canadian passenger bill of rights will mean that once you_ve got a ticket for a flight, you won_t be kicked off due to overbooking It will also set new minimum levels of compensation for those who AGREE to be bumped, as well as compensation for lost or damaged luggage Gee, it almost sounds like passengers will be treated like people We_ll be right back.
